Most of my passions have been encompassed in all that is HI-VIBE. I absolutely love to create healthy food & drinks while evolving our brand. Testing different ideas/concoctions is probably what I enjoy most. The feeling of satisfaction that comes when those worthy concoctions turn into well-received products on our menu that ultimately help our customers to heal & thrive is what drives me.
I am an avid Chicago sports fan; Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks & Bulls (in that order). I prefer to spend my downtime on the beach, relaxing with my juice princess.

+ LIFESTYLE + NUTRITION PHILOSOPHY

Grass-fed, Bulletproof, Juice Junkie. I typically don't eat solid food during the day, but come dinner time, it's on! Grass-fed beef, wild salmon, pastured bacon, sweet potatoes, & sautéed collard greens are some of my favorite foods. Pilates (Amplified), strength training (Hardpressed), and outdoor cycling are my favorite ways to sweat. Meditation is something that I am currently working on..

+ HOW I KEEP MY #VIBESONHI

Bulletproof Coffee to start my morning, followed by a G-8 to re-alkalize, then a Dandy or Savage to flush out toxins. That's the first 1/2 of my day, everyday. Kill Shot followed by a Matcha laced w/ brain octane, coconut butter, maca & lucuma to get my afternoon brain & hormone buzz on. I'll then treat myself to a Keto Bowl or Bone Broth to keep me satiated until dinner.

Gluten-free since 2013, first by necessity, and now by both that and choice. I have a passion for cooking food from the earth, the way nature intended and traditions have taught us. I embrace all forms of whole food living, such as paleo or vegan, in that the ingredients being used are selected and prepared in such a way that maximizes nutrition and minimizes our toxic load. Real food is a magical thing—from the way it grows, to the way it heals.

There is no greater opportunity for humans to thrive in the modern world than to reconnect with the Earth through food and lifestyle. This includes being in touch with nature, gardening, squatting and lifting, sprinting, and challenging myself to try new things and become more self-sufficient—in a traditional sense.

I see it becoming increasingly important to incorporate stretching and yoga routines into my week in order to counter the repetitive movements and sitting that occupy more hours in my day than I care to admit. It’s important for me to balance the speed and temptation of the modern world with the wisdom and simplicity of our evolutionary past. Often this will mean slowing down, clearing my schedule, and focusing on being mindful and grateful for life’s simple pleasures.

Bulletproof Coffee. I love everything HI-VIBE offers, but it was a dream come true when I realized HI-VIBE’s true commitment to the Bulletproof line of products. No other coffee could be so superior and deliver such excellent performance; all of the necessary ingredients and standards to combat the burden of fast-paced modern life.

It was unreasonably difficult to find nourishing food on the go in Chicago, until HI-VIBE came along. Now when I’m away from home, I can grab a (truly) Bulletproof Coffee to start my day and remain in an intermittent fasting state all morning. This helps tremendously with my concentration and immunity. Then for lunch I can have a Kelp Noodle Daikon salad, followed by a Keto Acai Bowl with Collagen Protein (I may or may not finish it all, but it freezes well). I choose the Keto Bowl because the low sugar content keeps me in concentration mode all the way through my work day; and the ingredients are the perfect combination of tradition and innovation. In the winter time I will get a cup of time-tested Bone Broth, with Collagen and grass-fed butter, instead of the smoothie bowl. Drinking a cup of bone broth is exactly what our bodies need to repair and fight cold-weather ailments. I’ll always snatch up a Kill Shot or Dandy Detox for an after work snack that is full of nutrients to supplement me until dinner; often pairing this with a Bulletproof vanilla collagen bar to assist in absorbing the fat soluble vitamins in my juice.

I take an evolving intuitive approach to nutrition and exercise – and eat a whole foods (with little to no processed or refined foods) diet that incorporates intermittent fasting and has an emphasis on high quality fats, raw green vegetables, medicinal herbs, and some pastured animal products. When it comes to exercise, I believe in recovery and play. I alternate between days of mediation, HIIT training, boxing, yoga, walking, and rock climbing.

The G8 is my ride-or-die. It’s packed with 8 alkalizing green veggies and has no fruit which makes it low on the glycemic index so I love that it won’t spike my blood sugar when I break my morning fast.
