I helped co-found Live Better, a health and wellness company in Chicago, as a response to my growing need to help people with their health. I started my professional career as a CPA working for a Big-4 accounting firm, but realized my passion lay elsewhere. As an outdoor enthusiast, I love motivating people to get out and be active. I use functional exercise and holistic nutrition practices as lifestyle medicine to encourage happy and healthy energy to have the best day ever, every single day!

I use a combination of the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting to achieve peak mental and physical performance. I take a “poly-athlete” approach to fitness – the more variety the better. I enjoy everything from mountain biking, surfing, snowboarding and golf to rock climbing, yoga, jiu-jitsu, and weight-lifting.

My friends joke they can never find me because I’m always on vacation. I’ve incorporated a need to travel, adventure and everything in between almost every day. I’m on the go for work and play – that’s how I keep my #VibesOnHi.

My mornings usually start with a Bulletproof coffee. On my best day ever, almost all my food comes from HI-VIBE. I know what I’m going to get when I come in, how it will make me feel, and how well I will perform – I’ve come to rely on it. My favorite meal (on my second trip in) includes a Kill Shot, Acai Bowl, a Green Envy, chocolate Bulletproof Collagen Bar, and the Truff-Love truffles. I’m constantly moving and workout out all day, so I need something light but packed with energy.

I try to move every single day, and I like to mix it up. Yoga, boot camp, running, spinning. Because fitness is a lifestyle for me, I move toward what feels good for my spirit and body, rather than what will achieve a certain result. Growing up as a competitive dancer, I love the feel of a classroom, and thrive off the energy of other people, of course with the music bumpin!

As far as nutrition is concerned I am focused on REAL. Fake food freaks me out. I believe in keeping it colorful and balanced. No deprivation in my life. I eat cheese and chocolate, but I do it in moderation and that keeps me from feeling deprived. I am about 95% gluten free as well, it just feels better for me to follow an anti-inflammatory diet.

I love the juices, specifically the green juices. I try to start each day with a green juice, and if I can two per day. I can feel the difference since I started incorporating the fresh and organic juices from HI-VIBE, my skin is clearer and more alive, and my energy is improved. I also love the ACAI bowls. I love spending my mornings hitting up a challenging boot camp class and then picking up a beautiful ACAI bowl. It is such a healthy, refreshing treat!

Other than changing people's lives and helping them to live a healthy and happy life, my biggest passion is kickboxing. I've been training kickboxing since I was 16 years old. I am an active competitor and a member of the US Kickboxing National Team and National Champion in the discipline Pointfighting.

My clients love to add boxing or kickboxing to their routines.

I am putting emphasis on a holistic approach to health and fitness. It's all about balance. I eat very clean and try to avoid processed foods, gluten, dairy, sugar and meat. I don't strictly remove it from my diet, every now and then I do enjoy some of it. My daily food list mostly contains veggies, healthy fats, fish, eggs and superfoods and fruits high in fiber and antioxidants.

If I had the choice I would spend all my workout time on a sparring tatami or on a Ninja Warrior obstacle course. Other than that I love sprints, I enjoy functional training and HIIT.

The Keto Bowl is my all time favorite- no added sugar and lots of healthy fats is exactly what I need to stay energized and to perform on the highest level.

I knew from a very young age that police work would be the career/lifestyle that I wanted to pursue. I wanted a career that involved me being physically out in the heart of the community; a career where I would be on the front lines and where I would make a difference, hopefully for the better, with each person I came in contact with. I knew I wanted a career/lifestyle that would be an adventure. Being in law enforcement each day makes me feel as passionate about it as the first day I was sworn in as a police officer. At times, the job can be stressful. It can, at times, cause a strain on your health (mentally and physically) and family. It is not a career that is meant for everyone. It’s a career that is meant for those who are truly passionate about police work. I feel it is a great honor to be a part of this community in an occupation as rewarding as local law enforcement. I enjoy the fact that each day everything will be different, and no two days will be alike. I chose to put the life of others before mine, to protect and serve the people of this city.

As an officer I do shift work and juggle family/friend obligations. It’s not easy to swear in and stay fit. Throughout my career, I practiced opportunity fitness. Generally, a gym bag with running stuff and a change of clothes stayed in my car 24/7. I would work out when I had the time and the opportunity came up. I also maintain a deliberate fitness schedule, which includes strength training before or after a shift. Participating in this practice increases alertness during the shift. A healthy lifestyle and nutrition is extremely important to me, because it helps me perform my duties on the streets where every second and inch counts. Where a split second decision can change if I go home that night or not. So I do take my nutrition seriously. The fuel that I put into my body puts my mental alertness and physical ability at an optimal level.

There are sometimes challenges to eating healthy meals while on the job; long hours of shift work, sitting in a car for an extended period of time, and working overnight are all potential barriers to healthy eating. I take a proactive approach to my diet and develop plans for eating that minimize the effects of these barriers in my daily nutrition. I depend on products like the Keto bowl, G-8, and Bulletproof coffee (sludge) for optimal energy and nutrition. Combination of these products give me the necessary hi-vibe nutrition to sustain the energy, mental alertness, and strength to get through my days, no matter how hard it gets.
